Julia Volkman is an educator, researcher, and mentor dedicated to transforming the way we understand and teach children. Since 1997, she has been teaching students and mentoring educators in both private and public school settings. Julia is a Faculty Member of the Brain Health Initiative, a guest lecturer for Harvard University’s Neuroscience of Learning course, and the founder and president of Maitri Learning, an educational project devoted to evidence-based, child-centered learning.

She earned her AMI 3–6+ diploma from the Montreal Montessori Training Centre, a bilingual program, and her master’s degree from Harvard University, where her graduate research on the Montessori movable alphabet earned the Harvard Dean’s Prize for Outstanding Research.

LD Chen is a former entrepreneur and CEO who founded the Oneness Institute after a near-death health crisis led him to discover and heal from chronic illness through the ancient Dacheng Quan (also known as Oneness) healing practice. Candice Thompson is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Silicon Valley. She considers herself a well-rounded generalist, with twenty years of experience in the field of mental health; sixteen practicing psychotherapy. She works with high achieving individuals and couples. Candice is a keynote mental health speaker, board member, supervisor, adjunct faculty lecturer, and mental health consultant for health tech startups. Candice is vocal about adequate pay for therapists, preserving the heart of the industry, and career sustainability.

For over a decade, addiction shaped Hollan’s life, pulling him through cycles of rehab, incarceration, and despair. In 2018, exhausted and ready for change, he entered a residential treatment program at Asheville Recovery Center in North Carolina. With unwavering determination and the support of a compassionate recovery community, he began the hard work of rebuilding his life.

Today, Hollan serves as Director of Admissions at the very center where his journey to recovery began. Drawing from his personal experience, he works tirelessly to help individuals struggling with substance misuse find the hope and healing he once sought. His passion for advocacy also led him to co-found the Mayor’s Substance Misuse Task Force of Apex, NC, alongside Mayor Jacques Gilbert. Andy Riise is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, keynote speaker, and trusted Mental Performance and Leadership Coach.
